HISTORY OF WONOSARI VILLAGE Wonosari Village was originally a forest that had been cleared by our ancestors to form a village and plantation location. Most of them when working at a pine company which at that time was called PNP, the workers lived in houses provided by the PNP company. In between holidays or when they were not at work they took the initiative to clear the Wonosari village forest. Around 1979 the contract at the PNP company began to expire, so the workers began to work together to create a settlement so they could settle in this area with a profession as farmers. As time went by, the Wonosari village forest began to become a garden with an increasing number of residents even though at that time the houses they made were only in the form of small huts. With the development of increasingly advanced times, the people in this forest made changes by making the Wonosari forest into a village, through deliberations between the community, it was finally agreed that the Wonosari forest became a village called Wonosari Village. Based on the story, the name of Wonosari Village according to the old people was taken from the story of the ancestors who said that in this area there was an ancestral grave, in the Gayo language it was called Muyang Kute, so on that basis the community agreed that the name of this village was Wonosari Village. Initially, Wonosari Village was part of the Bandar District, Central Aceh Regency. But now Wonosari Village has become one of 35 villages in Bandar District, Bener Meriah Regency, this is due to the expansion of the region several years ago both at the district and sub-district levels. The Wonosari Village Government System is based on customary/cultural patterns and formal regulations that have been general since ancient times, the Village Government is led by a Village Head and in the village government structure there is a Hamlet Head. Imum Mukim has a fairly strong role in the Village government system, namely as an advisor both in determining a policy at the Village government level and in deciding a decision regarding customs. The Village Consultative Body (BPK), as part of the village advisory body, plays a significant role and has the authority to provide input into village decisions and monitor the performance and policies of the village head, both regarding customary law, socio-cultural issues, and other activities involved in village development. The village leader (Ulum) is responsible for organizing all religious activities, including those related to religious development.
